jura-w8
Jura W8

The W8 is Jura's compact professional machine, built for places where a home machine would be worked too hard: a small office, a reception, a showroom or a waiting room. Jura rates the W line at up to 50 cups a day. It makes 17 specialities from one grinder and runs from a 3 litre tank, and at 29.5 cm wide it takes up little more bench than a home machine.

It sits below the X10 in the range. If you are pouring more than about 50 cups a day, or you want cold brew, the X10 is the better fit at around 100 cups.

Who it suits

Workplaces that get through up to about 50 cups a day and want espresso and milk drinks without anyone having to learn the machine. A small team, a front desk, a medical, dental or dealership waiting area, a salon or a showroom. Because it is a professional machine it carries the hygiene and security features a shared space needs: TÜV certified hygiene, a lockable bean container and a lockable water tank.

How it brews

The Professional Aroma Grinder P.A.G.2 feeds a variable brewing chamber taking 5 to 16 g. The Pulse Extraction Process pushes water through in short pulses for a fuller espresso, and the One-Touch Lungo function handles longer coffees properly. The Coffee Eye detects where the cup is sitting before it pours. Milk goes through the HP3 system with fine foam technology, and milk system cleaning is a one touch cycle from the display.

Payment and connectivity

The W8 supports Payment Connect and MDB Connect, so it can work with card readers and payment systems if people pay for their own coffee. It is also compatible with Jura's Pocket Pilot 2.0 software and with Smart Connect and Wi-Fi Connect. Talk to us before you buy if payment matters, as the setup depends on what system you want to use.

Specifications

Recommended output: up to 50 cups a day (Jura's figure for the W line)

Specialities: 17

Grinder: 1, Professional Aroma Grinder P.A.G.2

Heating system: 1 thermoblock

Pump: 1 at 15 bar

Brewing chamber: variable, 5 to 16 g

Water: 3 litre lockable tank

Filtration: CLARIS Pro Smart+

Bean container: 500 g, lockable

Grounds container: around 25 servings

Milk system: HP3, interchangeable with a CX3 spout

Spout height: coffee 65 to 111 mm, cappuccino 107 to 153 mm

Display: 3.5 inch colour display with buttons

Dimensions: 29.5 x 44.3 x 44.6 cm (W x H x D)

Weight: 12.7 kg

Power: 230 V, 1450 W, 10 A

Connectivity: Smart Connect, Wi-Fi Connect, Payment Connect, MDB Connect

Made in Portugal.
